Chemical Compounding Assistant

Summary: This position requires the ability to accurately read instructions and ingredients for chemicals in order to gather them for the Chemical Compounder. Use of a forklift will be necessary at times in order to move larger quantities of ingredients. Fuller’s products are used by schools, health care facilities and world class businesses across the United States. Essential Duties:  - Ingredient preparation – retrieve the required ingredients from inventory, following specific instructions provided by the compounder - Equipment setup – prepare equipment and machinery for the compounding process - Perform daily safety checks and preventive maintenance actions - Forklift Certification required – certification will be held onsite - Recordkeeping – maintain accurate records of ingredients gathered, batch numbers, and other relevant data to verify traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements - Collaboration – work collaboratively with other team members, including quality assurance personnel and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks - Being present at work and adhering to assigned work schedule - Cleanliness and organization – maintain cleanliness and organization in the compounding area, including proper disposal of waste and cleaning of work surfaces and equipment - Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, or Experience

Qualifications: Candidates must have the ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance desired. Industry specific on-the-job training provided. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English, bilingual a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; some high school education required Physical Demands: Essential functions can require: - Kneeling, climbing, standing, stooping; reaching; handling; feeling, grasping, controlling, dexterity; operate equipment; bending; twisting occasionally. - Walking frequently. - Lift, carry, push, or pull greater than 60 lbs. occasionally and 26 – 60 lbs. continuously. - Occasional lifting and handling of bagged materials up to 100 lbs., and handling of drums of raw materials and finished goods with the assistance of lifting equipment. - Vision: color; close; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus. - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work Environment: Work is performed under generally good conditions with some machine noise, fumes, oil, and dirt present. Adequate lighting, ventilation is present. Extreme outdoor temperatures will influence the temperature in the production area. Exposure to usual minor shop injuries such as cuts bruises, burns and sprains are inherent in the job. Some exposure to more serious hazards; however, probability of serious injury will be minimized by adherence to established safety regulations. Training will be provided to personnel who may occasionally wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
