Summary: The Accounting Clerk plays a pivotal role in executing a range of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial activities crucial to the company’s operations.  This multifaceted position involves maintaining up-to-date financial records, generating comprehensive reports, and reconciling bank statements.  Utilizing advanced accounting software, such as SAP, you’ll manage various business transactions including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.  A keen understanding of accounting procedures coupled with a knack for numbers is essential.  Ultimately, the successful Accounting Clerk will ensure seamless and precise daily accounting operations within the company.  Essential Duties: - Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, ensuring seamless operations - Outstanding accuracy in typing, meticulously preparing, and consistently maintaining precise accounting documents and records - Handle the preparation of bank deposits, along with ensuring accurate general ledger postings and statements - Monitor daily cash balances and execute cash management activities, such as cash positioning, funding and disbursements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies - Reconcile accounts in a timely manner - Input essential financial transaction data into the database daily, maintaining up-to-date records - Provide assistance and support to company personnel - Conduct detailed cost accounting analysis to identify areas for cost reduction, profitability enhancement and efficiency improvement - Skillfully research, track and resolve any accounting or documentation discrepancies and problems - Keep management well-informed by regularly delivering comprehensive reports and summaries covering various activity areas, facilitating informed decision-making processes - Maintain adherence to established standards, procedures, and relevant laws, ensuring compliance and integrity in all operations - Pursue ongoing professional development, continuously updating job knowledge to remain current in the field

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, or Experience

Qualifications: - Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk - Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures - Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software - Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports - Accuracy and attention to detail - Aptitude for numbers - Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks - Data entry and word processing skills - Well organized - High school degree - Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus Language Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English, bilingual a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to read, write and speak English, work with simple arithmetic, and understand ordinary verbal and written instructions.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; some high school education required.
